FIREPLACE FEATURE

In this family room, we took a simple traditional fireplace surround and made it a grand showpiece in the room.  Note the repeating arched element.  We reduced the hearth to a level platform to flow seamlessly with the rest of the newly installed flooring.  The stacked stone offers texture and interest.

In this stage of the project, the mantle remained a transitional style but was later replaced with a reclaimed cherry wood beam.
